Meet Your Pain Free Feet Guide
Hey, I’m Heather. I struggled with plantar fasciitis for ten years on and off. Foot pain along with a host of other injuries came on when I started running marathons. I started running as a way to cope with the loss of my father from a rare neurological disease during my Freshman year of college. Running was my therapy.
I ran my first marathon at the end of my senior year in college and was hooked. As I continued to log more and more running miles the injuries set in. Every once in awhile I got a glimpse of running pain free and finally got fed up with being an ‘injured runner.’
I set out on a mission to heal all of the injuries in my body. I knew there had to be a way to run pain free - I saw other people doing it. You know, the one’s who look like they are floating while they run? That.
After becoming a certified personal trainer and 200 hour + 500 hour trained yoga instructor, I figured out the secret sauce to kicking plantar fasciitis to the curb - a whole body approach.
I am an Ironman finisher, have completed dozens of marathons and ultramarathons (any distance beyond 26.2 miles). My current passion is in SwimRun events. I love to get off the beaten path & run trails and spend time hiking with my family and our dog, Omena. I am a mom to Wiley & Sedona, stepmom to Kenzie and wife of Ted :-)
