About Your Instructor:
Hey, I’m Heather :-)
You may also know me as Heather Feather. So many people ask me if that’s my real name. It’s not. It was my nickname growing up and fits with my mission. Feather’s inspire and my goal is to inspire you to live an active lifestyle enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.
Let me tell you about my journey of overcoming plantar fasciitis…
I battled plantar fasciitis for 10+ years. I got plantar fasciitis from running. My running journey began during my freshman year of college after my father passed away. Running helped me deal with the grief of losing my dad and also served as a catalyst to overcoming some addictions I battled in high school - smoking marijuana and cigarettes.
The high I got from running was simply better and I wanted that more than I wanted the addiction. So, I kicked the bad habits to the curb and chose the direction of health.
I ran my first marathon right before my college graduation. It was AMAZING! The confidence I gained from that experience was like nothing else and I wanted more. So, I continued to run marathons.
After a few years, the injuries set in - plantar fasciitis, IT band syndrome, back pain, hip pain.
I thought I was doing everything right.
Following a training plan, doing yoga 3x per week, rolling my foot on a massage ball, icing, wearing a night splint, inserts, cortisone shots. This went on for YEARS.
I was your typical injured runner.
Then, I dove into a 500-hour yoga training after a few years earlier completing a 200-hour yoga training. I also earned my personal training certificate. These advanced yoga studies taught me how the whole body works TOGETHER instead of approaching my injuries as singular issues.
That’s when I healed my foot pain and all of my other injuries. It was life changing. I can’t imagine my life without running. It is my LIFESAVER.
It not only helped me deal with the grief from losing my dad at just 18 years of age and overcome addictions, but it also helped me deal with 2 broken engagements, continues to help me deal with stress as a business owner, is a great relationship builder with my now husband, makes me a better mom.
Running is KEY to me living my best life. And, I wouldn’t be able to do it without healthy feet. So if you are ready to improve the health of your feet with simple posture shifts and get back to your active lifestyle then I hope you join me for this MasterClass.
Namaste,
Heather
